New home

SO....a lot has happened in the past two weeks!! We are now living on our new (old-1980:)) home. It is a lovely, homey, work in progress. It was move in ready except for the laundry room was originally meant to be in the garage and we are making it an indoor room attached to the kitchen. When I say WE, I don't mean me:). My wonderful husband, his giving father, and my brother-in-law are working on it. My mother-in-law, has every room painted my colors except for the kitchen, which we are waiting on until the laundry room project is completed. She LOVES to paint, and I am THANKFUL for that! The guest room is is pale blue that my mom loved. Cannot wait for her and dad to see it soon. Josh's office is his choice of color called "root beer". It's warm and "manly" according to him. I acutally like it, it's the most unique room in the house. The picture makes it look like poop brown, but it actually is not, it's gorgeous!! He will have my old chair that I got in high school in there next to his desk, it all coordinates very well. Our backyard is just the perfrect size and we LOVE our private porch. We eat breakfast out there every day and know we'll be spending even more time out there in the fall when it's cooler. Below are some pictures. Some of the colors don't show up as well as in person. Please excuse the mess and barren walls!! :).
Oh and one more little thing....
This little one is the newest tiny addition to our home. Her name is Goober. She is a 12 week old Boston Terrier. She is pretty much adorable and we love her so much. I am keeping her a sercret to my co-workers at my vet clinic until next week. So feel free to text me about her, OR email me on facebook. But, please don't post about this cutie on my wall just yet. LOVE YOU ALL!!!

WE FOUND IT!

So.....guess what? We found our home! On Monday, there were three bids on the house (including ours) on the same day. On Tuesday, we prayed and prayed up until PAST the 9pm deadline @ 9:15pm when our realtor finally called us to say the couple selling the home had taken all evening to decide we were the ones who should get the contract!! Be praying for our general inspection this coming Monday, May 2 @4:30pm. Josh's dad, Mike, will be coming with us too!

I am not putting up ANY more pictures until after we close on May 31st and get settled in. But details...

It is 1300 sq ft, 3 bed 2 bath. Built in 1980. With a brand new 440 sq ft concrete and screened in patio. It's such a lovely, private back yard. It's not a big YARD, which we like, not a ton of yard work. We will be 15 min from Josh's parents, 15 minutes from church, 15 minutes from my job, 5 minutes from Josh's job, and 10 minutes from the beach.! :) Our front yard has an old , BIG oak tree that shades the garage, two palm trees, and a small front porch to fit a two seater porch swing. Our backyard has a bunch of four palm trees, an enclosed herb garden, and two bunches of banana trees. It's CUTE:). The inside was remodeled 5 years ago. Tile floors in the kitchen and living room. New kitchen cabinents and countertops. A flat rangetop they got just a few years ago....it's SO open too, you can see the whole living room and back porch from the stove. The master bedroom has laminate floors and a remodeled bathroom. The two guest bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house and they were recarpeted in 2008, the 2nd bathroom is in between those two bedrooms. Can you tell that I am a little excited yet??? hehe. Anyway, we are thrilled and looking forward to seeing it again Monday. Don't anticipate any problems with the inspection and trust our relator completely. So HAPPY.

Excited and Praying

After much prayer and considerations over the past four months, we have decided to start the process of buying our first home. We are looking for a 3-4 bedroom townhome or single family home. The Lord has also just provided us with a wonderful realtor as of this weekend. We love the Melbourne/Viera/Suntree area here in Florida. Our church http://www.ccsurfside.com/ is so wonderful, we are blesssed. Thank you for all of your prayer and support in our move to Florida, we are SOOO excited for this next step.
